Newsletter Adjustments

Hello,
I hope everyone is doing well. I have a few changes I would like to mention that affect all subscribers to this newsletter.
The first and most significant change will be the end of different content for paid and free subscribers!
There was a considerable amount of stress for me that came with the separation of paid and free content, and at the end of the day, I am just thrilled you want to be involved in the first place even if you don’t want to support this newsletter monetarily.
So moving forward, if I post something, everyone gets to read it regardless of their subscription level. For those of you that want to support this newsletter and my gin budget, I really do appreciate it. You early adopters out there made me feel great, and right away I knew that I was on to something. Being supported by people that care about my project is a great feeling, and I thank you for that.
That being said, I have changed the totally optional yet massively appreciated pricing for paid subscribers that want to support the newsletter to $5/month or $50/year. There is also a choice to pay anything you would like over the regular annual subscription. I call that support level "Bar Seats" and for those distinguished and generous supporters, I make sure you are added to my "close friends" on Instagram for a more in-depth look into the day to day of Cocktail Doodle. All paid subscribers, regardless of the support level, will be able to like, comment, and interact with the posts.
Another perk I want to get off the ground for paid subscribers is a weekly check-in on Fridays where those subscribers can mingle and chit chat about cocktails. I'll do my best to answer any boozy questions you have and perhaps even get a private cocktail hour Zoom going if there is enough support for it. It will be up to you!
I will be changing how the weekly emails go out as well. I have found that a Sunday posting day doesn't work well for me, and honestly, a weekly dispatch is just too often for the Silver Bullet Sunday. I can barely make it through a book to review in a week, alongside writing a story, drawing, scanning, and editing a doodle, scouring the news for interesting boozy articles, and putting together a couple of recipes. So I will be switching what was the Silver Bullet to the last day of the month (starting next month), and merging it with the Thursday doodle and story all shaken up and poured into what I am calling the Cocktail Doodle Review.
This change frees up some time and will allow me to focus on the other things I wanted to include from the start but realized I didn't have the bandwidth to manage at the pace I was going. I hope to work on some longer form opinion pieces with deep dives into cocktails, spirits, brands, and notable people in the food and beverage world. I would also like to add an interview from time to time and perhaps a guest post or two in the future.
Thanks for understanding, and thanks for subscribing!
